Your Training Needs

A number of training sessions are taking place at the Civic Centre to support groups with the commissioning and grant funding process. The Winter 2010 training courses are as follows;

October 12th - PQQ; A practical guide
1pm – 4pm, Area 9, Antechamber, Civic Centre
The session will:
Assist with the procurement process
Provide points to allow better completion of the document process
Better prepare you to respond to the PQQ

October 21st – Writing Better Funding Applications
10am – 4pm, Room 1 Annexe
Private sector funders such as companies, grant making trusts and foundations provide an invaluable source of income for voluntary organisations.  This course looks at what is available.  It will deal with how to target and research companies and trusts, how to prepare applications, make a business proposition, and best make your case.

November 18th – An introduction to Full Cost Recovery
10am – 4pm, Room 1 Annexe
Full cost recovery means recovering or funding the full costs of a project or service. In addition to the costs directly associated with the project, such as staff and equipment, projects will also draw on the rest of the organisation. For example, adequate finance, human resources, management, and IT systems, are also integral components of any project or service.
